Bolton Oil Company is getting ready to open its 12th location on 19th and Milwaukee in about two weeks, but the two Bolton brothers are in no rush.
Slow expansion and a focus on quality have been hallmarks of their company, and why they’ve been around since 1949.
Charles and Scott Bolton said this is their first new ground-up location since 2000, and it’s bigger than any of their previous locations.
Charles said they need a little recovery time after they finish each new location, and they move a little slowly with expansion, not wanting to get too extended
“It’s different,” Charles, 67, said. “We have something with a little more room than what we’ve had lately.”
Scott, 60, said they wanted to be in that area of town and not cramp their other locations, and it’s going to be a test case for them to see if they like it.
